diff hoops

hi

i am new to this sight and i have almost finished my project a toyota surf with a v6 holden engine people keep telling me i will need diff hoop to get a certification where can i get these and how many go i need x2 or x1 ?

I guess you mean a driveshaft hoop? Best to download the lvvta stuff so you get all the specs on where it has to be mounted, steel thickness, clearances etc etc

probibly drive shaft hoop?? you should just call your certifer they will know if you need one on each section and tell you anything else that sometimes gets missed like fan covers

sorry yeah drive shaft hoops i did call a curt guy he said about them i can understand where one would go can you buy them or do people just make them up themselves

theres plenty of cheap ones all over trademe but make sure you get one thats certifiable if you buy one Image

I fitted a generic one from Trademe, just took the two L brackets and mounted them around the other way. So they hang down lower if that makes sense? past cert all good and I just unbolt the bottom part of the loop when offroad so not to catch on shit. :mrgreen:
