It is tempting but I had select other cheaper option, but I will consider this sometime in near future.

I got this quote today:

Ranchos are American and an excellent shock that was designed for offroading, because it is adjustable you can get the ride you require.
Most people always give good feedback on new shocks but that’s usually because their old ones were totally worn out and anything feels better. I wouldn’t hesitate to put them on my truck if it was in your weight category but I have a landcruiser.

Shocks are $189 each SRP $254
9 Way in cab controller is $699 SRP $1026
There is a 6 week delay on the in cab but each shock can be adjusted individually, manually with the switch until the in cab kit arrives.

We can do the whole kit including 4 shocks and in cab for $1399 incl GST & Freight

Freight would be $12.50
Prices include GST

Hmmm, Rancho ah, well alot of people seem to think they are great but we have had no end of trouble with them on the Defender that they are in the shed not being used!
They were just 5 way adjustable and were good from the point you could adjust them but didn't seem to be up to the task.

1stly the adjustor on one fell off so we put a rubber boot over it to stop it being knocked again

2ndly the eye m,ount at the top came away from the chrome shaft completely and the vehicle behaved like a pogo stick due to only having one shock at the rear.

3rdly one of them went completely soft on us, upon taking it off it had no resistance at all.

They were always replaced with no problem but thats not the point, they had never done more than say 20 000k and don't work very hard very often.
