reefton 15/16th sep

Post by JR »

a few of us are heading over for a play, staying at the nurses home sat and maybe friday night. may not be much left of the chasm track after that last big flood, but will go for a look sat, sunday around the back of bigriver most probably.
id expect it to take a bit of work to do the chasm,so if you dont want to get on the end of a spade, this one might not be for you.

Hi Guys. I was over there Queens birhtday and sore quad bikes winched into the chasem. Unless you have been talking to the Cracker Brothers I guess the track is still closed.Be good if you go in there to find out what it is like since I been in there. I will be over there the same weekend opening the Montgomery Hut Track up with the help of a chainsaw. Cheers Nig

Have been talking to the Crackett boys and they have not been back into the chasm yet. I would like tu get in and give them a hand but been to busy. Have spent the last three days burning round Bennetts farm on the quad bike . Up to 20ks a day riding round all the tracks, wouldnt mind a couple more jobs like this.
cheers flag.

I haven't been in there myself but had some good mates try and go in there but found too many trees down so went over to Big River (still had to chainsaw their way in).At this stage the track is open up to around just past the old coal mine (not very far).Doc are unable to go any further at this stage.
