time for new tyres for my hilux the size im after in 33x12.50r15 and im after a mud tyre, at moment im looking at the kumho kl71 but after doing some reading on here the mudstars seem to be a good tyre for there price.(i have not had a current price)
also have had a look at the maxxis tyres the buckshot and bighorns could someone inform me what the difference is between the two of these?
i have everyday tyres for truck but drive over to coast alot to play, jet boat launch ect. so would want mud tyres on for these sort of road trips
also i can get the kl71 at what i think is a good price of $297+ (not including fitting)
does anyone have a view on which tyre would be best?
who sells mudstars and maxxis in chch so i can get a good price?
thanks for you help ben

Re: after new mud tyres in christchurch
most tyre shops sell every tyre brand you just need to ask and specify what you need. the maxis bighorn is a great tyre, the buckshot i have felt dont grip as well. the kl's dont last unless you run them at really high pressures, i have heard of people getting 70+ kms out of the bighorns. the new archilles i would be cautious on how many kms and how they perform road and mud wise, if they are anything like their "high performance" car tyre range which dont seem to last very long at all.
