lockers
Re: lockers
No, vitara rear diff centers are a lot bigger.
Re: lockers
Dam I ordered a 1512 lock right out of the states and a 1510 turned up emailed seller he said this sorry and this
Fortunately – this can be easily fixed. The only difference between the 1510 and the 1512 is that the 1510 includes crosspins – the 1512 does not. There is no difference in size/shape for the gear assembly. So you can use the 1510 locker in your vitara/sidekick differential with no modifications needed.

Thats strange they it costs more for less haha. If it not completely right I'd rather just order another and try see the 1510 down here as I don't want any compromise

That is the strange truth about lockright lockers. I’ve asked several times over the years and have never received an answer as to why.
My personal opinion – it was a mistake made long ago by somebody who is no longer with the company. And nobody at Lockright today was around when that choice was made. So now they just make what they’ve always make because…..well…because that’s what we’ve always made.
But I can tell you that I have measured the gears and they are IDENTICAL. Absolutely NO difference between the 2 models except the lack of cross pins for the more expensive version. So no worries about compromising. I can assure you – what you are installing is identical in every way to the 1512 model.
Thoughts?

Re: lockers
There's a guy on trademe that sells RD88 (10 bolt, 26 spline) Chinese air lockers saying they'll fit rears and front on a Vitara and rear on Samurai. I know the Vitara rears come in 10 and 12 bolt. Maybe the 10 bolt heads are interchangeable.

Re: lockers
I expect the air locker fitment is incorrect . The same model will fit front and rear 413/samurai and the front of a vitara . The rear of a vitara has a different ring gear size , thus housing size so will not fit .
However in the case of a lockrite type locker I would expect these would fit both the 413/samurai and the vitara diffs . I have not done it so no garantee , however I have had both diffs apart and the side gears are the same size and distance apart . As the lockrite style locker replaces the sidegears the housing does not matter . The vitara diff's are 2 spider and some of the 413/samurai are 4 spider , hence the missing cross shaft pin .
