G and W gearboxes?

I have done some reading but still am unsure... are they interchangeable or only certain versions? Am looking at doing a "Throw away the crunchy box and smokey motor" drill, at the end of summer comming in little suzy (SJ 413). I have a few parts sitting around to start 4age - loom etc - bellhousing - w5? ally 5spd rwd box. Tempeted to buy an early lux or surf for the axles and maybe the trans case and doing away with the divorced setup... most advice welcome, apart from "sell it and buy a hilux"

Nothing? also have a few Nissan SR20 eng bits, 'some' van bellhousing -to- an RB gearbox that looks a similar length as the 4a-w5# so wld be similar spacing to keep the suzi transfer... need to make a choice and flog off the bits I dont need and chase up the ones I do
