Safari auto trans or manual conversion

Post by Chewy69a »

Hi All,

My trans has died so looking for a good second handy one or even a manual conversion.

gearbox
flywheel
clutch
clutch fork
pedal
master cyl and booster
slave cyl and line
gearbox mount -are these the same for an auto / manual?
driveshafts -are these the same for auto and manual?
rubber shifter boot

Any help appreciated.

Pretty cheap for a 5 speed

Yeah mate I've seen that -its me asking those questions for all the other bits, I'm a bit hesitant as they seem to indicate there is something wrong with it. Even so if it needs a set of bearings could be a good deal.

Ok so i scored it, went down wednesday and picked it up.

So who knows the spigot bearing size? Obviously i can measure the shaft but the crank is inknown until i pull the old auto out tonite and would like to get a bearing organised today. Can anyone help?

Also looking at replacing the front bearing in the gearbox just for luck.
