Hi all fellow Isuzu Owners,
Iam in the process of adding an intercooler on my Mu, my question is can I rotate the turbo housing so that the air intake pipe line up with the intercooler fitting?
The engine is a 4JG2 3.1 turbo diesel.
If anyone can answer this would be good, or even better if anyone has a Mu with a 3.1 which is intercooled, can give me help.
Cheers

Re: Turbo Housing.
are you using a bighorn intercooler?
anything from a 3.1 bighorn engine should fit your MU
your compressor housing will rotate and fit perfectly

Re: Turbo Housing.
how did you go with rotating the turbo, thought the bighorn and mu's had different turbos, mu turbo's need to be rotated obviously, but i think it has a locating pin. you'll likely nee to do some drilling and tapping.
this was my work around

Hi Hamz,
Thanks for your photo.
I have done nothing so far but I do have all the bits I need to do a turbo swap as I think messing around with the turbo I got on at the moment is alot of work so I got a Bighorn turbo with the adjustable housing all I need to do is swap it over .

hey dude, i looked into it a bit more, and there is a locating screw on the wizard turbo. it's probably easier to use the wizard one, just unbolt the turbo head, rotate it to where you want, and then drill and tap where the locating screw goes. it seems the bolts to get the turbo off is dificult. but yeah, thats what im gonna do.
cheers

Thanks for the info, but I have got it sorted Bighorn turbo housing is easy to rotate loosen about 7 bolts then move to desired position then tighten back up, will be a mission doing the swap but tha's the fun of it.
