Mid mount winch

I'm mid mounting my winch and will try and run the rope thru a tube to the front,and it will stop maybe a meter from the winch,so do I need a fairlead at the winch or will it spool on okay.Cheers.

You not running it out the back first? Why wouldn't you do that if you are going to mid mount?
The winch guru's should be able to advise on your lead in, but if you not doing competition winching, I owuld investigate going through a pully at the back first as this double the usefullness on the winch.
