Still troubleshooting diesel issues, trying to run tank down to E, only half way there, thing is lasting forever, looks more like it might be a leak.

Just so you know in case you dont know

weekend achievements is just that, it dosent matter if it crosses over into the week before or after but its "on topic" shit about what you did to your truck or trips you did not shit you want to do or didnt do or general talk shit thats what the off topic forums are about

if you want to talk general bullshit by all means go over to Day time posting or This Weekends achievements - Non 4wd Related or any other off topic thread and do it there so the rest of the forum isnt stuck wadeing through useless crap instead of reading interesting and constructive 4x4 shit

rebuilt my winch last night. today got a call from my missus's flatmate saying he crashed his car last night and wanted to know if i could have a look and tell him what the best thing to do with it is..... well i got there and pulled the bumper off to find this....
Image
its stuffed aside from the obvious damage. the alternator, radiator are wrecked and the inner guard is pushed against the crank pulley so it wont turn. thankfully noone was hurt.

Saturday :

Swivel Hub overhaul,
New seals , king pin bearings etc , due to leaking inner CV shaft/Diff sideshaft seal . Wasn't in the mood , so it took for ever ..

Sunday - Finaly got my ass into gear and Fitted my Bunnigs flares on .
Came out pretty good, vehicle looks alot more streetable , keeps the
ten inch wide rims and mud tyres coverd up. Will see how well they hold up next outting :D ..

Next on the List, Pto winch , and Snorkel .
If anyone has a ready made PTO winch bar for a gq / Y60 let me know cheers

Went on woodhill patrol last weekend, Some of the tracks are really washed out from all the rain!

Image

Got as far as this point and killed the battery when i tried to winch out, oh well i guess 12 years from 1 battery is a pretty good run

Image

So 2 days later i go out to the garage and find this  ...after removing the wheel i noticed the pads were pretty low too.

Image

And i'm sick of this temporary repair on the fuel filler, I cant fill it right up because it leaks.....and it costs a fortune being a 90 liter tank

Image

So it was time to go shopping :D

Image

oh almost forgot....got these too

Image

I really hope there not as tricky as everyone says

So by the end of this weekend i had the front tyres changed to tubeless and balance beads installed.

Image

New fuel filler and second battery installed.

Image

And started pulling apart the new Talon 12.5 to get that ready for installing next weekend.....

Image

And yes I did manage to fit the wind screen wipers... but i've probably used way to much space to go into details about that

that will be caused by the big tyres you are running, muzza will use this to outlaw everything bigger than 31", cause it has nothing to do with rain or anything....

I totally agree with you...infact in this pic you can see the damage caused by running 31" tyres on the left and 46" tyres on the right

Yeah, it was Joshpom. Sold him a wastegate actuator. He came and visited me again today to pick up some tie rod ends to get his terrano out of the park

He said to me, and i will quote him, "I will wind my torsion bars down this afternoon"
Hate it when I'm right :P
