Here's a picture of my Scud engine; it doesn't have EPI stamped on it, can someone please explain what I've got?
I've also added the pic of the ID plate. It's a '97 3dr with just over 114,000 geniune kms.
Info on fuel consumption; first tank was getting 22mpg (13ltr/100km). Halfway through that first tank I got extractors fitted and the belts done, waterpump replaced and a new alternator bearing done. Now she's getting 24mpg (11.8ltr/100km). This is city driving, to and from work each day (about 9Km), plus a bit of bopping around
I paid $4000 for the truck, $580 for the extractors, and $1130 for the belts etc. So far, I still think I've got a bargain (I'm a computer geek, so am happy to pay a mechanic the going rate for servicing, just in case anyone is going to jump on me for paying for the work).
It's a great truck, I love driving it around, the easy way it comes up to speed suits my grandad driving, but I do treat it with kid-gloves. There's a picture of it in the "here's my suzuki" thread.
Thanks for checking out my post.

Re: Do I have EPI?
Yes . its a 16valve single overhead cam multipoint injected engine . I would say that is the later version of the engine .
Re: Do I have EPI?
its a mid/late 90s g16a mpi. its got the hotwire type air flow meter (13800-58B00), cream coloured injectors, coloured inserts in the door cards, half moon shaped dash cluster and thumb groove type bumpers, and most likely the inbuilt coil dizzy with the 7 pin plug.
