PTO winch oil

can anyone tell me for sure which oil goes in a pto winch (one off a safari) i've had a couple of people tell me one type and another couple tell me another.
they have a bronze gear so needs to be the right type

I use Elf SP680 ,its an industrial gear oil designed for worm drives and bronze gears ..

its not cheap and you need a sludge gun to get the shit in its almost as thick as grease

Its cheaper to buy direct from Elf in Manukau... Cash sale...
And its a 5L container and you only use about 1 1/2 cup fulls.
But I see you are in Nelson.... So there goes that idea...

A gear oil that doesn't have EP in it, we've used all sorts and EP limits the winch life to about zero.

Hahhah what a rip.... But then again my $45 dollar 5L bottle is now worth over $200 .... whaaaa hoooo.
