DXF file for 1kzte turbo flange

Post by Heath »

As above I am after a DXF file for the turbo flange on a 1kzte. Place I work suggested they could whip one up for me on the plasma cutter if I find a DXF of it. Might do a couple in case I bugger up the first one welding...

Cheers in advance,

Heath

i have searched for this for a while now, the best i could do was take in the gasket for it and scan it into the program the guys are using at work, then use a rule to double check the hole centres. since then i had to re use the gasket and lost all the info on the computer that i had that crashed a few weeks back, bugger good lesson tho! back things up cos once theyre gone....

Mines a 96 but the flange looks about right. if not and I make one I will be able to move it on I guess. Might make a couple for interested parties. If I can get em for free then so will the recipients I guess. Dont email me yet as I havent got them yet, I'll yell when I have.

why not draw it up in CAD measure straight off the gaskit
rule compass and protractor would be all that you would need to get the flange just about spot on

would take less than 1/2 hour and at a guess

I am sure I have an old gasket from my one when I did it.
Will take a looksie tomorrow.
Should be able to scan it 1:1.
Then you can do what you like with the file.

i scanned my paper one today, tomorrow i will burn one out and confirm the hole centres, its a long shot but i still might make a couple of swap in dump pipes for pre 96 prado (thru the wheel arch) pipes if people are still keen

So on the subject of flanges, what thickness steel (and type) should I look for in the scrap pile?

Made a couple today. Look okay, but a bit rough(having probs with machine) and drill is poked so will wait for that finesse later. For now its a start and a little time with a file will have it sorted.

Cheers.

forget a file, use a flap wheel on the outside and go buy a cheap die grinder for the inside

Cut my own. Have a few here in 12mm and a few in 10mm. Bit rough as the drill was buggered so I blew the holes with the plasma, not to mention I had the arc accel wrong so they arent super flash. Nothing a little time with a dremel and file wont fix though.

Did the 10mm ones first and then played with 12 and they seem better (more meat).

PM me if anyone wants one and i'll sort one if ya like and no it wont be 90 bucks worth, postage and whatever you think its worth will do. I'll add a pic in the next day or so.

Tried to get one from auto bend (I worked just down the road from them recently) but they never had any in stock and said they wouldnt make any until they got a decent amount of orders/interest. So I made my own. I waited over a year for them to come to the party (from when I made my new exhaust system up) and got sick of waiting.

I have some turbo flanges for sale.

25 bucks each plus postage. They need a little dressing up (holes need tidy up with dremel or file).

12mm and 10mm (20 bucks for a 10mm one).

PM if interested.
