8) Mean, looks like the Hamilton crew is heading down on Friday night with the exception of Dan.

So see the rest of you guys there on Saturday morning 9am at the HQ................

Ahhhh, all i have to do is change the wheels, fit new front brake pads, put the bed in pack the truck, grease the drive shafts and steering, check oil and water, throw the ropes on, fix the left hand side headlight, shut up the annoying noise coming in from the engine bay.............

Just as well i have tomorrow off work

Haven't heard rom DJ in a while, all going good?????

Headed down from Tauranga to meet the crew at Whakamaru...the Surf did overheat a bit along the way....but no major drama...met the guys..was good to put faces to names...commenced our adventure driving along the firebreaks...however the overheating got worse...decided to head for home...about 12kms from Rotovegas the overheating got serious...pulled over to cool down and get some more water....then top radiator hose blew :( :x :x :x  ...called Mr AA and he came to the rescue and took me and the Surf back to Tauranga...hopefully the overheating was not serious...but the Surf did throw a large amount of white smoke when we moved it off the truck....mmmmmmm :?: :?:

:D We're back........................................

Awesome trip, even better group of guys and gals, and the weather was unbelievably good to us, wih two heavy showers today both during road legs of the trip. It even stopped raining for us to repair a snapped tie-rod on Bens Cruiser this afternoon

Just a few pics from my camera, there were at least two cameras to every truck so there's plenty more to come :D :D

maybe if i send you the file you might be able to shed some light on the subject, and yes upload it if you can and post on ORE in the N.I SAFARI thread ? that would be coooool

Sorry about the delay there wopass. I did figure it out eventually and here is the Google Earth KMZ of your GPS track log.

http://www.presling.com/files/ore/kml/nisafari.kmz

Clicking on that link should open it up in Google Earth, otherwise you may have to save it to your computer, open GE and go FIle->Open to load it.

EXCELLENT!!!

Is now saved to my puter to show Siwsie.

You done a GOOD THING, Ben, buying us that GPS to log trips.

You know what this means now, dontcha?

if you go on a trip without it, you will be sent back to get it.

Well done too, to Mark for nutting it out and publishing it.

Thanks.

Itis just one more thing to add to the delights of exploring Gods Own safe place.
