Power steer conversion

Wanting to convert my vitara to power hook. Has anyone done this do I need to change the steering colum and rack or just steer box and add pump and lines?

should be just the box pump and lines, where are you, i know where there is one in chch where you could get the stuff cheap as chips

You will need the shaft up from the steering box also , the box is deeper , so to speak , in a ps box so the shaft is shorter .

Ok do you know how much different I have a body lift with steering spacer that I could reverse

It was a few years ago I did it , not much from memory so you may get away with it . I would like to say an inch but can recall sorry , only thing that makes me think its not much is the guys car it was spend about ten minutes trying to make it fit until I said to use the power steer shaft .
