Trans power/comfort switch

Post by Want2Retire »

Hi
Does anyone use the gearbox power/comfort switch on the dash at all? I keep forgetting about the switch and so thinking of re-wiring the switch to become a hidden fuel pump switch to start the mighty xj. Anyone with more jeep or electrical experience foresee any issue doing this....any heads up?
Cheers

Used to use it all the time when I had the Cherokee.
It changes the kickdown response and holds gears longer before changing up when in power. Especially good when off road. Other times left it in comfort and get slightly better fuel economy (if its ever possible to get economy out of a Jeep) depending on driving style.
