I think there should be no limit though so your yes no list headings don't really suit. I thought the 'no' list just meant discussion is a waste of time??
I think there are a lot of people who are not reading it right. You are correct Swamped, this poll is just to decide if further discussiion is needed around this subject (not do you support or opose the setting of max tyre sizes).
There is a very good chance that some %@#wad in the future will manage to get a reading to the powers that be and have the rules changed.
Who thought 20 yrs ago that modified vehicles would need a cert, who thought 2 years ago that if you wanted to lift your truck a modest amount that you would need a permit from the NZFWDA. Don't kid yourselfs into believing that this will never happen, as it just might........
I think there are people who are reading what they want into the heading, or reading the opinions expressed (and Ive got no issue with opinions, free counrty and all that kinda thing, and TBH I think Tony Burgess has made a very valid comment earlier in the piece) and going along with the sentiment in some of those comments.
As Rok says, its about having a discussion around a potential tyre size debacle. If your stance is already that there needs be no max tyre size, then a simple no covers it.
If you think there's merit in discussing the what ifs that MAY occur in the future, and what we may or may not take as a stance, then put your hand up.
My personal opinion is that I'd fukn abhor any tyre restriction, just as Ive got the shits on about the lift card. Not that it would propably affect me anyway as I dont use DOC land and any farmland I use is by private arrangement where the owners dont give a shit.
BUT, if it were to come to pass, I'd also like folk to have have the chance to put some ideas forward, rather than ranting and raving and beating their chests. I only carried this forward on the behalf of a few folk that were concerned about mumblings they've heard in the background. AND if so called experts are going to try to limit what we can and cant do, have some folk thinking about how to counter arguments on sizes etc.
I know some are titchy about it and want to stamp their feet, why not just cool the heels a bit and see where the numbers go? If the numbers aint there to have a chat about it and take it a little further it aint gunna be likely to happen anyway is it? As it stands at the moment.. 20 folks saying yay isnt really cutting it I wouldnt have thought.
