Terrano WD21 Bar Work

Post by fullthrottle »

Hi All, about to get some front and rear bumper/bullbar/bar work done on the Terrano as I'm sick of bending the front one. Looking for ideas.
Anyone got some good pics of what they've done ??

Here's one courtesy of TomsOffroad NZ... very nice!

How are you bending them?

I dropped mine off a 4 meter bank onto the bull bars with no bending/damage........

They don't stand up to well to high tensile fencing. Its twice now I've done it. First time I could bash it back a bit. Second time is getting a bit hard to recover.

This is a custom one from Tomsoffroad in Christchurch. You can get something custom made for less than what you can buy an ARB one for, just depends how elaborate you want to make it.
Just remember if you have airbags, then you need one that is suitable to activate them.

Probably best that you ask Tom this question if you want one exactly like the photo.
Will let you know how much mine costs once its out of the shop. Goes in on Monday.

OK, got the truck back yesterday, and I'm very happy with the work.
Exactly what I wanted,

Thanks TAZ and STINKY at TBS.

Now just to locate the winch to fill the space in the front......

Not for long. It will be filled with the winch and winch mounting bracing. :-)

What mounting points do the Terranos for the bumper and winch?

So there is nothing really to use on the chassis?

the bumper has two mounting brackets that go through part of the body at the front and connect to the chassis, underneath has four bolt holes to hold nudge bars/recovery points
