Newbie from Howick

Post by engineerdax »

Hi there, am just starting to get into the 4x4 scene. Currently have Honda Horizon ( '95 Bighorn under Hondas name), 3.1 TD, tyres 245/70 R16, looks high and powerfull. Don't have winch. Just removed rear seats and installed foldable bed and a few other usefull stuff for kids to sleep at the back. Planning to see Northand this summer.

It's first time to have a 4wd and my kids are so keen to get them somewhere offroad especialy through forest. Last week I crossed a small river by Orere Point and it was realy fun to drive along the beach.

So if you know any public easy 4wd tracks around AKL, pls let me know.

Thanks,

Dax

I would reccomend you join a club, however in the meantime there is a range of tracks available at woodhill 4wd park, with people to help if you need it.

Thanks for that, how can I apply? Anyway, I'll write to: NewMembers@manukau4wd.org.nz.
Definitely I am so impressed and I will try that 'GRADE 1' soon.
