Chinese Diff Locks

Post by toyotasmurf »

Hey guys I recently decided to get some lockers for my truck and being not so keen on prices in NZ I emailed LOTS of Chinese and American companies trying to find a good price for a good unit.

Now I know a few people bash the chinese lockers and all that but a lot of people have had no issues with them.

After I chose who i was going to buy from I crossed my fingers and kept an eye on the tracking numbers.

I got my lockers and compressors today and air compressor and for less than 500 each im pretty happy. Theres a few rough edges and the such but they are pretty simple to take apart and tidy up.

If anyone else would like the guys email that I bought from i'd be more than happy to private mail it to you.

Im not making any money from this or giving a gaurantee but just trying to save people a few dollars and give them another option.

Cheers

Hey guys just had my mate in china email me asking if I'd like to organise the sale etc of their lockers to nz. He said to chuck on a bit of commision so maybe 20 or 30 bucks an order i was thinking? Then you could just email me and sort things out and I send the final order to him.

Would everyone be keen for that?

Price would still be around or just over the 500 nz mark per locker but then freight and tax would be on top of that. Compressor would be another 60 odd USD and freight but they run 2 lockers so only need one of those and they come with plugs etc.

Everybodies thoughts would be great???? :D :D

Thanks

Thats a fair call, when I first put the post up I was only trying to help people and not make a cent but once a few people emailed the supplier he sent me an email tonight asking if I would do it. I was apprehensive not to make them too expensive like every other locker in NZ and what i get will come out of his cut and I certainly wont be paying off mortgages with what I get

Im not here to screw anyone :D

He also sells lots of 4wd accesories as well.

If anyone wants more info or wants prices just pm me.

Cheers James

Edited to say there wont be anything added onto the order etc

Very generous of you, but do you realise how much is involved in collating the orders for individuals, chasing monies up front, passing through to supplier, then handling the customs clearances, GST payment etc followed by finally having to individually package and send out to those who ordered them and get the cost of packaging and shipping to them back?

I think not otherwise you wouldn't do it for no reward.
I suggest you rethink about what is in this for you and take a cut somewhere along the line. If necessary don't tell people how much is going directly to you. After all you are doing the hard yards and leg work for them, but do they give you in return?

And then what happens if there is a problem with one of the orders, either faulty or not complete? As you did the order from China you become the one to deal with China to sort it out.

Put a mark up on or otherwise leave the indiviuals to order their own. Easier and less hassle in the end.

Also If you do go through with this you will have to deal with the claims for warranty etc if they do pack up with in a short span.

yep either your becoming an importer and giving yourself a part time job, plenty doing it. or let people sort it out themselves. Which was your original plan. looks like DSRTURBO is looking at being the importer and you can bet his mark up wont be $20 get in quick people before he manages too lock it up with the factory. no disrespect Dsrturbo Its a fair game your playing
