next week i will go for the axles from patrol GR Y61 maybe stronger than y60
but i have got a problem with spring rate and spring length!

i want to run 12" travel bilstein shocks (ext: 30", coll: 18")
additional weight in front (winch, bumper) 110kg=240lbs
additional in rear (bumper, 2nd tank, sleeping, 5th wheel) 140kg=310lbs
originally whole car weight (with axles, but springs and shocks dont carry axles and wheels) is 1900kg=4200lbs

what spring rate and length choose?

looking good,

cant wait to see how you figure out what springs etc to go.

ive got a y60 front in mine, with standard terrano rear, 4.11 gears. just standard safari springs for now, raised front 3 inches higher than rear, but my engine is probably half the weight of the td42...

ive got a real nice ride, but will get some longer travel shocks later down the track and she will be sweet, oh and some nice mud tyres.

How are you going to do the front shock towers?

with mine we cut the original one from the y60 and welded it to the frame.

looking foward to seeing more
