WTB: Extractors Suzuki G13B 8-valve

Post by 3.5Pajero »

Hey guys, just after a set of cheap extractors for my samurai. failed a warrent when I got it due to leaks on the front section and I just noticed a nice big crack in the manifold. Cheapest I can find on trademe/asking around the local muffler shops is about $320 which is abit out of my price range at the moment by the time fitting etc is added.
If anyone has a set luying around no longer in use I would be keen to buy them.

Cheers.

If money is tight at the moment you could get the crack welded up to pass a warrant? My old man is a welder, he might be able to help you?

Thanks for the offer zukmeister - I was looking to move to extractors becuase I haven't had much success will welding cast manifolds in the past, always seem to crack again? But I guess beggers cant be choosers, still got another 5months before warrent time, if I cant scrape something together by then I might look at getting a 2nd hand manifold, there must be heaps of them out there...

I talked with Lee from Chase Distributors, his answer was short and sweet: "The G16A headers won’t fit and we don’t list a header fo the SJ70."

I am probably wrong but for some reason thought the 8-valve G16A headers from the vitaras were the same ones they sell for the G13B 8-valve SJ's...

I used a samurai g13 manifold on a g16 8v temporarily. It all bolted up fine. Coby do 2 different headers for around 3 hundy i think for both 8v and 16v engines.

Its not the mount to the head that does not fit , its the pipe down the side of the engine . Chassis is wider on a vitara than a samurai so the vitara headers hit the samurai chassis .

I have a couple of g13a manifolds sitting at home you can have if you need one .

I know the G13b DOHC uses a different manifold to the G13a SJ413 / Sammy , not sure about the G13bb SOHC though.

G13BB is the same pattern as G16B.
