New Battery
Just wondering what most people do in regards to the small factory battery, can you replace with a larger one ? Mines on the way out and thought I'd ask around before buying another the same size

Re: New Battery
yeah mate the more CCA you can get the better but you've still got the constrains of the physical size battery that'll fit into your battery box and engine bay

Re: New Battery
I would do a duel battery setup. I will be doing that after summer on mine. A big one on the floor and a small one in engine bay. Or make a custom mount and wrap exhaust headers and mount on the left side.

Re: New Battery
Depends on a few things... But I agree with Sadam, more CCA the better.
My old SJ had heaps of room for a bigger battery, or even a dual battery set up.
Are you running a winch on your Zuk?

No winch at the moment, I plan to get a winch bar on the front at some point and a winch later, but to start I want to mount some nice spots on the front bar and just generally have a battery with a bit of balls, rather than the pissy little factory one.

What are they earthed to?

Re: New Battery
If its for an SJ you probably want to check the pissy little alternator is still doin a good job charging. Doesn't matter what cca battery you have if the alternator can't keep it topped up.
I've had batteries in a swift and a samurai i thought were on the way out and it just wasn't charging right.

Earthed to chase and body, put and insulated stud in and put all the power wires on that then all the negatives to body/ chase
