I'm starting a new thread for this one Jerry because I fear that it has been lost in the waffle of the Suzuki owners!

Here's the original: http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... pic&t=3299

I am booked in for Sun 19 Nov and might be able to talk a mate into joining in too. He has a shiney ute, but I'm keen to get my whale a bit dirty.

Any updates?

I hear what you are saying Ryan but after seeing the stresses on a vehicle when recovering it's cheep insurance. A rated hook is less than $20 and could save A. your vehicula B. Your Life, and more importantly, my life.

Maybe we need a Workshop day, we all converge on somebody who has a 1/2 decent garage and we help set up the vehicles that need it. Just a thought

Well Jerry.... it looks like the pressure is on. Everyone is set and rearing to go. Have you been able to arrange things OK? Is there anything we can do to help out?

I just need to get a front tow hook on and then I'm ready.

Just some thoughts for newbies etc perhaps relax the towhook rule for the first couple of trips as long as they are easy trips, if it was a rallywoods trip I would insist on proper hooks but as its Terewhiti and easier then if you are a newbie then this is ok. I understand it takes time to get all the equipment sorted on your "Truck"

The expectation is that after the first trip or 3 then proper hooks are sorted, spade, first aid kit, extinguisher etc are there.

If you are wanting hooks then call (Marty) Stinky ....no I don't mean call him stinky as in phew....who stepped in something  04 384 4141, or you can try J Top (Carl).

Are people happy with this?

Sweet. I think I've already got the holes for a tow hook in the winch bar (minus a winch) on the front so I think I'll go pick up a hook off Stinky anyway. Don't want to go killing someone on the first outing  Hehehe
