Given how difficult it is to find a replacement Suzuki motor for my 413, does anyone have a straightforward, reliable & cheap alternative?

Hi
Why is it hard to get a suzuki motor for your 413 ? Do you want a standard motor or were you trying to find something bigger ?
Any motor out of a holden barina or suzuki swift up to about 87 will fit . later than that will fit also but they swaped to a straight dissy about then .

If you want more go and somethingeasy hunt down a 16v swift and get the adaptors and bolt it all in , bar the straight dissy issue . Have not tried but a mazda dissy is ment to solve the problem . They came out with a carb etc so no wiring issues and the one in my shed cost me $120 .

I have just pilled out my 413 motor so you could by that if you want , runs great but alas it blows a bit of smoke !!!!

Cheers

Yeah no probs in finding 413 engines. I've got one spare too. If you want an easy transplant and good horsepower, find a Suzuki Swift Twin Cam EFI . It'll bolt straight up to your 5spd and you get 100hp and the reliability of efi.
