VX100 buying advice or tips

Hi all

I am on the hunt for a VX100 4.2TD - around say 1999 - 2002
Any help on what to look for....
There are a few on TM with 300+ks on the clock - that seems fine but what are the 1HD engines good for - are they as robust as the Nissan 4.2TD? and good for 500+ks?

Is the variable height suspension known for giving trouble? I know (for a fact I owned one) that the VW Touareg air suspension is a dog and will make you $8k lighter when it fails
