Front solid beam axle - help

Post by kaylachris »

I'm wanting to know what type of Nissan I need to get a front solid beam axle off to transplant it to a Terrano?

A four wheel drive one would be a good start, maybe a patrol or safari?

The problem is the terrano drives down the left side, most others are on the right. The Yanks use dana 44's from a Jeep that I don't think we get here. I believe the cherokee only has a dana 33 which isn't so good. You can use a safari box with lots of modifications that will change the drive to the right...and there are other options with the box which I'm sure the others will fill you in with...

In the uk these guys go nuts for terrano, mavrick and mistral SAS conversions.

here will tell you what axle to use and how to modify it.

I though the Maverick was just a patrol with Ford badges?
