Vitara Front Axle Mod?

Post by Pico42 »

Has anyone here changed the axle configuration on the front of a Vitara so you can run the passengers side cv & axle on the drivers side as well?

If so, where did you get this done?

Looking to get it done for our Vitara and would like someone who knows whats required as I can't be very hands on with it myself.

And has anyone done the conversion to hilux CV's?

Any help appreciated.

I am of no help, but apparently with a bit of small mount mods you can fit a hilux IFS diff in the front. Well so i have heard anyway

I have seen those on some of the US forums, but it seems that the Suzuki steel diff is sufficient for some quite serious rubber once the axles are beefed up. Like 37's or 39's.

But as always, its always the little things that make sure it works well. Like the short side bush/bearing in the steel diff.

Anyway, anyone happy to chop and weld some half shafts/axles/CV's for us?
