70 series wheel hubs

Post by Tom123 »

How would I go about changing the front wheel bearings?

Have taken the locking hub mechanism off, came across a large nut, and don't have a socket for it, does anyone know what size this is so I can take it off?

Or is there another way to access the wheel bearings..

its 54mm from memory, you can tap the nuts off with a screwdriver or drift and a hammer if you dont want to muck about finding a 54mm socket, you'll also have to drop the brake callipers to get the hub off

yeah theres a couple of slots where the bearings seat inside the hub so you can tap the outer shells out with a drift
