D21 Rear Hand Brake Shoes

Post by BogBoy »

Just talked to a supplier about a set.

$160 plus gst

Why so much and is there a place to get a cheaper set?

Also on a brighter note, $452 for new disks front/rear with new pads too

Expensive because theres very little demand...
As they are for handbrake only, in theory the won't wear out.
You could try a brake specialist, see what price to rebond them would be? (or bnt as klompy suggests)
Or just get some S/H from a wrecked truck.
Yours will still work with .5mm lining. Unadjust cable, adjust up at shoes, then adjust cable travel.
But don't drive off with handbrake on or you'll wreck your new rotors if they get to steel on steel....
