Starter Motor & Alternator Maintenance

Post by 00falcon »

Hi Guys,

Getting to know my jeep now.
Have fixed a few things, as well as some preventative maintenance.

But i have not got a clue on how to look after either the starter motor or the alternator.

I'm using my jeep for what it is meant to do... and she is getting quite dirty.

What do you guys suggest, so i don't have expensive repair bills in the future...

Cheers

Wash them out after getting muddy. Is your pre-2000? In that case your alternator is at the bottom and a/c would be on the top. Luckily, Jeep swaped them from 2000 onwards.

yea my engine bay is pretty mucky!

Don't have a/c though ;)

Since i moved house i have more space and time to work on my beast. So i'll be maintaining it more too!
