Question for Diesel gurus - TD27T

Post by kiwinoz »

Well, probably first of many really

Since the throttle is controlled via the injector pump, why is there a diaphram operated butterfly just before the inlet manifold?

Cheers

I took mine out completely and used steel putty to fill the holes :)

So, I can get rid of the butterfly valve in there? and do away with the hose going to that diaphram?

I may as well remove the hose going to the EGR valve to, and stop that opening?

I removed my thottle body looking thing and replaced it one i made out of some 6mm plate and 63mm pipe. Makes for better air flow and less leaks.
