Car cameras

Post by bobrocket »

Haven't been here for a while but found a new (old) toy that someone might be keen on.
While kicking round Korea we decided to buy a car. You get a discount on insurance if you have a video camera onboard.
I checked out a few prices on trade me and them seem quite expensive so i got a second one for the old fellas race car.
I thought maybe someone might want 1 for their truck. They can run 24hrs or only when the car is on. Homemade action movies :D there no special software, take the card out and put it in your phone or pc.

Comes with 8gb micro sd card, card adapter for pc and low voltage thingy.
If a few people wanted one I could possibly get it changed to 16gb.

I went 24hrs initially but didn't use the car for a few days and it killed the battery, even with a low voltage cut off thingy.

If anyone wants one their $250NZD, possibly a little less depending on the rate.
There's no profit in it for me but I get $$ into my NZ account with having to pay bank transfer fees so that's my win. I'm saving almost $50 so to me that's a good deal
There's no bulk ordering discount, would probably get stung by customs anyway. I'm not a business I just thought it would be a cool toy for a few people. If a few people wanted them I could possibly get a discount on the purchase price but usually they prefer to do upgrades, bigger sd card, random accessories and other free crap seems to be the way.

Here's a link with the specs, most of its in Korean but you can see pics and navigate through.

Anyway if you have questions let me know.
If you want to see the actual video quality I can send some clips, pm me your email.

As I said, pm an email and happy to send a video.

Yes the link is Korean but a lot of key points are in English in the photo pics.

if its one of those that are adjustable, the menus may be all in Korean. ditto if its voice one as well.
assuming pic quality is ok and its reliable, it looks like a good buy.

had a bit of a google round. looks like most of the russian jokers are using these.

there's heaps of different types on trademe etc.
the mount might not be ideal for 4wding use, though! Might get a bit shaky? looks like the mount screws to them with a standard tripod screw fitting so would be easily modified.... might have a bid on a dollar reserve one and see what they're really like.
