Been browsing TM for some new muds, baby on the way so on a budget, and came across these being sold from a guy in Te Puke. They are Chinese made, and 10 ply? Been for sale in the states for a few years, but not been able to find much in the way of reviews, road manners, off road traction, expected kms to get out of em etc.
Cheap tyre, almost the same as Hankook dynapro MT. Your thoughts?

Grizzly Grip MT. Your thoughts??
Re: Grizzly Grip MT. Your thoughts??
Id expect them to ride hard but they are cheap. Mate is considering the larger ones for his dyna.
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..
Re: Grizzly Grip MT. Your thoughts??
I bought a set of four near new Pinnacle Grizzly Grip tires. I bought a new one also, so i'd have a spare.
The new one is so out of balance(220 grams on one side, 130 grams on the other) that it can't be balanced properly, so is limited to the rear axle i guess. Not pleasing. Will now need to check the balance of the other four. Now I'm concerned that the guy may have sold them because they were horrible on road(vibration etc). Me the sucker...
Also , the 265/75R16 tire has tread contact patch approx 21cm wide, compared to my Hankook RT03 Dynapro Mts width of 23cm (same designated 265 width) They are a copy of the RT03.
Will update when i balance check the others, and road test.

Re: Grizzly Grip MT. Your thoughts??
I just chucked a set on the terrano, yet to go off road with them, but seem to handle well enough on the road, mine balanced up good as gold.
Re: Grizzly Grip MT. Your thoughts??
If its that far out would seem to be a manufactures defect & if i were you id try to get it replaced. If the seller is reputable shouldnt be a problem.

Re: Grizzly Grip MT. Your thoughts??
I had the remaining four Grizzly grips balanced. The worst of them was 150gm out on one side, 80 on the other. The others were 75gm/80gm, 120/30, 145/50.Rotating the rim on the worst of them made no difference, indicating the factory Toyota rims are pretty well in balance.
The garage had recently put on a set of bigger wheels, of a different brand(Maxxis muds), and the most they were out was 30gm a side.
At this stage, i'm regretting the purchase. Will ask the new tire supplier if they would supply a replacement for the "unbalance-able" tire.
Will put the remaining four on, and let you know how they feel on road.
EDIT initial roadtest they seemed fine. Time will tell.
I agree entirely with the post immediately below. Have learnt my lesson.

Good luck dude
Heres the issue with everyone buying off the net these days.
They get no customer service after the sale.
Also these cheaper brands are cheaper for a reason.
Buy a name brand from a good retailer who has been in business for a while and you will get the aftermarket service etc
Just ask Sadam. He recently bought tyres off us that he could of got cheaper off the net but I can guarantee that the internet seller wouldnt of been willing or possibly able to send back the first five of them that had defects especially at no cost to the buyer.
If you want cheaps then you are gonna get cheap.
If you are after a good tyre with no issues then be prepared to couch up some more coin.
You dont buy a shitty old corolla expecting a ferrari do you
