hilux suspension

Post by philux »

Hi all, new to 4x4 and the site. Got myself a 95hilux. All the springs are in a very sad state, I have been looking around for spring lifts etc and get a huge range on prices from about 400 a pair to 300 for one. Question being, the cheaper you go does that some how mean not as good quality or are they all pretty much the same standard, any info would be real good thanks.

The Maxitrac range that Steve sells gets good feedback.

Also worth considering is the Old Man Emu gear, I have their springs and shocks and they are good.

Stay away from KYB, Monroe, Lovells etc. Get some decent 4x4 focussed gear and make sure you know someone who has run them first so you have some experienced views.

Matt.

EFS leaf springs have features like feature tapered leaves, inserts between leaves, graphite coating to reduce friction and increase ride comfort, shot peened to reduce stress, military wraps for safety in the event of damage or breakage 8)
And yes, they do cost more than some others on the market :(
