Gidday team ORE,
How does a price of $280 sound to cut the rust out of my rear wheel arch and patch, bog a bit next to it, bog 2 bits on the other arch, and cover and replace 3 small holes in the boot?
Won't mention the company yet, but keen to know opinions on what its worth, want it done properly as I hate rust, but not wanting to do welding myself.

Sounds good to me, apart from the bog

yeah man, filler should only be used to finsh over patches, in a minimalist fashion.
I got a car of mine painted by some douchebags that thought bogging rear arches was the go. didn't last long.
$280 sounds reasonable if it's done nicely, and properly. are you getting it paint matched?
I'd be inclined to try and go without bog at all. rear arches often get rubbed against banks etc. soon as you scratch the paint or crack the filler, it'll let water in and start the process again.

yeah I'm not overly keen on bogging but the quoter said its not bad enough to cut and shut. don't care about colour matching as I'm respraying the whole thing later so have asked for whatever colour they've got lying around

Cheers for that - might have a hunt around. I'm happy to pay the right amount to get it done correctly, once.

I've always had real good treatment from the guys at "Just Rust" in Tawa, did a cheap good job for my old bush hack.
