My mate has a 413 with 410 transfer case etc on bald 33's and it goes almost bloody everywhere with no locker etc. You will be stoked how well it should go once you get it into the rough stuff

Re: 1989 Samurai
Why was the auction withdrawn within an hour of closing?

Re: 1989 Samurai
That's not correct, you can't do that. It was slightly more than an hour. Not selling it for less than 4.5K, spent far too much money on it to sell for less than that.

Re: 1989 Samurai
Fair enough dude, I'd hate for my pride and joy to go for less than it's worth.
So you keeping it for now? Or will you have another go at selling it soon?

Re: 1989 Samurai
Will probably part it out, I realise I'm not going to get back what has been spent on it, but I have probably spent about $10k all up, so I don't think what I am asking is unreasonable.
Re: 1989 Samurai
Understandable... but still if you want 4500 for it then have a reserve at 4000 or something... seems pointless to run a $1 res auction... or just run a classified with the amount of money you want for it?
Also, auction closing at 9.30 in the morning removes all that last 20minute bidding frenzy which generally is when everyone bids.
Your truck, do as you like but it seems to be a long way from the spirit of the medium to me and I know how freakin' annoying it is when you are bidding on an auction and it disappears on you. I also though, wow that's a bit of a good deal when I checked my lost auctions this morning haha.

Re: 1989 Samurai
If its a $1 reserve auction and someone has bid beyond that $1 (ie: the red flag has fallen) its a binding deal. Whoever had the highest bid at the time the auction was withdrawn, can, if they wish, take the matter further and take the owner to task via legal channels to make them honour the assumed agreement/contract. As soon as that red flag falls, its technically no longer the sellers product to withdraw.
Personally, AFAIAC people that don't honour their deals/aren't good for their word, aren't worth spitting on.

Re: 1989 Samurai
I don,t usually get involved in these round about threads, but trade me is a on line auction, and it is built on trust. If you have a reserve, state your price. Buyer will not become interested if items are removed after bidding has started.

My mate was the guy leading the auction when it was withdrawn, he's pretty bummed man, like everyone else has said, if you cant handle a 1 doller reserve, dont list one!!!!!!!!!!!!!
