Auto hubs to manual do they leak water in

Do manual hubs leak water in through the centre also has any body used inox mx8 wheel bearing grease?

The hubs will not leak if seals are good, not sure on the grease, I have some but have not used it yet.

everything leaks in water mate, you can slow ingress down but you cant stop it

I just rebuilt Front diff on my gq didn't need it but don't want it to fail in bush
And I found it really easy and this my first truck but when putting hubs back on could not see how how water would stay out due to where I lock the hubs I
Can not work out if it seals some how? That's y I have gone with the inox mx8
For my wheel bearings as I have witness from my old mans boat trailer that gets in the salt water every day twice a as he is a commercial fish men and over the years that's the only grease that works in the salt water!

Safari factory ones have o rings for seals on selector but nothing were it seals to the hub.

I am thinking it is the same for 4wds as boat trailers.
For boats.
Your bearings heat up when your driving, problem is you then dunk your trailer in the cold water greas etc shrinks and sucks in that nice salt water into you hubs. I think the same principle would apply to most trucks.

With manual hubs, dont use grease as it will cause them to bind, just a light oiling is best.
