Hose clamp on CV Boots?

4" plumbing hoseclamp on outer CV boot?

Anyone done this for a field repair or permanent?

I've heard of it being done, wondering if it might be easier without a banding tool

As long as you have enough clearance for the worm drive I can't see any reason why not.

Tried it once they got caught on grass, vines, sticks and everyother sort of asorted crap

I use safety tie wire on mine, have used cable ties with pretty good success in the past.

I band-it strap em. work mean but you can tighten too much and cut through the rubber if your too enthusiastic.

Can the Anyone know where I can get a band-it or similar tool in NZ? I checked TM but it seems the only seller listed is in Australia, would prefer to go local.
