alternator

I have had a though, what about converting my internally regulated alternator to externaly regulated, I have my external regulator from my Diesel here. Has anyone done this, tryed this, can it be done?

I have a std hilux alt and external reg on my wreck Matt. That is why I had spare 5m/6m alternators here.

Hes was explaing this to me at the last trip, his cruiser has an externally regulated alternator, and he mentioned you can get them set up like that from an autosparky.

So wht did you do about the pump on the back?

Not all hilux's are diesel. My alternator came off the 3y that was left over by the guy who put my 2lt in his truck.
