Sj410 diff head

Post by Nz Zuki »

Hi guys wrecked the inside spider gears of my diff head and I'm o. the hunt for another one, how do I find what ratio it is? And also are all sj410 spider gears and carrier the same? Also is it the crown and pinion that changes the ratio. Sorry for all the newbie questions! Any help appreciated! Cheers

Diff ratio is the number of gear teeth on the crown gear divided by number of teeth on the pinion gear, so, both are responsible for the 'ratio'. Repairing a broken diff is a challenging job requiring some precision instruments and a bit of experience, so your best bet is to try and source a complete one and just bolt it in.

Good luck!

I have one, $150 for the complete diff (housing etc) if you want it.

from memory, 410's are all 4.11 ratio, 37 teeth crown wheel, and 9 on pinion.
