need a new place to get a WOF

Post by GNTONC »

4 months ago I moved from Rotorua down to Naseby and now I am looking for a 'good' place to get my Surf a new WOF. I wont mind to drive down to Dunedin if that is needed to get the WOF done at a place 'where they know what they are doing'. any recommendations ? send me a PM or email, thanks...

cheers,
steve

Translation.

In other words you want some one who won't look to close at anything in particular.

I would never say that in an open public place...

I am looking for a place where they are honest and only complain about stuff which is necessary for road safety and not nit pick just so they can make some money.

in other words a small, owner operated place where they still use common sense when they are doing their job...
...not a place where their first goal is to get enough money in to pay the corporate, franchise or 'Greg Murphy'

to be fair mate all wof inspectors have the same checksheet to fill out so unless you've got the need to find someone a bit lenient for some reason start trying the local garages until you find one you can establish a good rapport with that’s worth sticking with

personaly I've always tried to stick with 4wd workshops to get my wofs done, they tend to be a bit harder on mechanical shit like steering, brakes and suspension for obvious safety reasons of where the trucks go and what there subjected to but also can be a bit more practical with superficial stuff like tears in seats and stupid shit like that that car mechanics would probably fail you for :?

If your in Naseby, then find a garage in Ranfurly. Most likely to be the type of garage your after.
Or take it to the VTNZ. If your vehicle cant pass their WOF, then its not safe to be on the road.
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..

I do not agree with that, have made my experiences in the past...
