1984 LWB SJ410

Post by zukmeista »

I bought this with the intention of fixing it up and putting it back on the road again, but it's going to be a bit beyond my limited budget and lack of skill to do so, so I want to get rid of it. It has all the bits needed to get it running and driving, just needs someone with the gear and skills to fix it. I paid $900 for it and have since sourced a transfer case ($200) , driveshafts ($100) and a starter motor ($100), so make me a reasonable offer.
Some pics of it here.http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7346&start=165

buy a cheap mig welder and start learning to weld . It's a perfect project to learn on . heaps of info / tutorials on uTube.
you don't need a grunta welder to do panel work .

worst case , just get it all tacked up and ask for some help / guidence with the welding .

leave the rear floor as it is , just clean it up and slap some paint over it . get some plate rolled and virtual lift the guards. some box for the rear sills . and the rest is just small patch work .
doesn't have to be perfect and a little bit of bog hides lots of bogey .

you have all the bits for a cool , unique Zuk . Even if it just ends up being a bush truck .

being able to weld opens up a whole new world in regards to 4wds.
LR110 ..... LJ50 project

As much as I would like to do it, I need a road legal car, can't afford a tow car as well. This needs to go so I can buy something to drive on the road.
