Without being a party pooper, I believe anything off the main track is out of bounds to 4wds??
Which would be a bitch as I did a 4 wheeled bike hoon through there and on of the tracks was farkin awesome

Yeh would be keen for a trip down from auckland with 2 vitara's :D
We've got a few mods but nothing too major... Mud's, Small Lift, etc etc

How long does the trip normally take? as its a bit of hike down there so would be good to make a weekend out of it.. :)

Patience my friend, there is one in the pipeline.

42nd, Fishers, and some more round the other side of the mountain. Make a good weekend of it, preferably three days again ;)

Just waiting for someone to get back from overseas before a date gets set.

Sound like it would be interesting on a mountain bike...

Fishers Track (21km 2-3hours)

This relatively unknown downhill is a real blast and with the best part of 17km downhill dropping from 900 metres to 400 metres the adrenalin rush is in your hands. The surface is mixed but does have a fair proportion of grass, which makes for some interesting cornering.

Far more interesting in a 4x4. I have been 8K's or so by my self down fishers, then it got tricky due to a slip. I reckon it could be cleared

Yeah got that yesterday, thats why i plumbed it back into the trip itinerary. Wasn't going to do it for fear of jepoardising access debate that was going on, but if its publised tongue in cheek in that mag, then why not
