could be vulcanised [sp] as a repair job / tubed an kept as a spare - im just buying a new one - not sure what tyre repairs cost, hasnt even had 10000ks

5 tires bought from mag an turbo - 1 from firestone

anyone know if m&t or firestone do side wall 'warranty' replacements on 4wd tires? i know of people gettign sidewall damage replaced on car tires at either beaurepairs /firestone

I'm not a tyre guy mate but if somebody didnt plug that little hole for you I'd be looking for a new tah shop

Me to. I'm on the other side of the world, an not back for a while. When I was told there was a 'stick' through the 'sidewall' and tyre shop said to buy a new tire, I thought it would def need a vulcan repair+ heavy duty tube,

When I saw this picture I was quite surprised to see a small thorn possibly not in the sidewall, I have suggested tire shop poke it out an patch it, but tire shop profit / liabilities etc come first rather than service. Even after paying $4000 to them earlier this year for the same tires rims fitting.... there goes that customer loyalty.

most tyre shops will not repair a tyre unless the puncture is in the tread area only

they will definitely not fix a sidewall puncture, regardless of how small it is

could possibly even be illegal to do so, but this I am unsure of

Depends on who you know.. winks nods says no more but they can be repaired for spares and rears of trucks but def not fronts..
