EOI: Well Im thinking of selling the Samurai

Post by hachi_roku »

Hey,

Well im thinking of selling the samurai, as i have brought myself an 80 series and the little beast just doesnt get used that much these days. Baby on the way etc

Specs:
1989 Suzuki Samurai
White
Certed for lift and for 1600 conversion ( but not for the injection ) not that you can notice
1600 8v Injected conversion
5 x 31x10.5R15 Hankook Dynamic MT on 15x7 steels ( spare is brand new )
Calmini Rockcrawler Transfer case set
2" Calmini Shackle Reverse lift kit
New Lifted Leaf Springs all around
New rear shocks fitted when new leafs were fitted
Rancho Shocks in front
Extractors and exhaust
Pocket Style Fender Flares ( flexible plastic so wont explode when you rub a tree or bank )
Snorkel with K&N filter
H4 Headlights, so brighter then the factory candle lights
Sony CD Headunit with fusion Marine speakers up front
New rear shoes and cylinders a few months ago
Front rotors skimmed and new pads a few months ago
Serviced just before xmas
Has locked rear diff

Has a current WOF, expires 04/13
Reg expires this month 29/01/13

No carpet, so its easy to clean when you been out in the mud.
It has a few battle scars ( bumps and bruises ) the right front guard is pretty knackered after having an altercation with a tree,
This thing goes almost everywhere, it has been a blast. But i have a few toys and unfortunately its either this or my ae86, so this has to go.

Drives quite well on road, will do 100kmh fine with the 31's.. dont expect to be comfortable though, that was one thing i learnt with owning a samurai.. it'll go almost everywhere but it will beat you up in the process :P

After every 4wd expedition it gets thoroughly cleaned, wheels off.. seats etc out and cleaned inside and out, rear brakes get cleaned out, everything gets lubed.. I get given shit evey time i take it out that its so clean and looks like its never seen the mud.

Is not a urgent sale, nor will i be giving it away.. as i said, it just sits there, it can continue to do so for many years if need be. But if someone wants a great offroad truck that can be driven on the road too, and wants to pay what its worth then so be it.

It was bought on trademe for $3500, so based on that I wouldn't pay more than $4500 for it.

Why? Thats allowing $1k for new leafs rego and WOF, I just don't see how it is worth more than that. I tried selling mine a while ago when it had the 31" SAT's on it for 5K, pretty similar mods to this zook, had pretty much zero interest in it. I have come to realise it doesn't really matter how much you spend, it still doesn't increase the value much. I removed all the mods from mine and have sold seperatly, going to add up over 5K by doing it that way. And seeing as you think I'm wrong, how much do you think it's worth?

cool looking little truck mate, you might be better off just throwing it on trademe and forgetting about advertising it on here coz your threads going to start filling up with un-nessecary rubbish bagging the trucks value and end up a pissing contest to prove who can piss the furtherest  good luck with the sale

I wasnt going to list here as i knew youd jump on the band wagon and have a winge, To be honest i dont know you nor do i care but the main reason you probably didnt get much interest in your zook is the fact you could be a wanker ( im sorry dude, but ive read your posts and though it may seem your pretty knowledgeable, but you seem to throw your toys out of the cot all the time ) almost every time you post it generally ends up with someone ripping into you about something.

Yes i paid $3500 for it, but it all fairness it was one of my mates that was selling it as he has now moved to Aussie with his partner.. i was going to own it no matter how much it went for ( unless it went for really stupid money ) i could have brought it initially for like 2k, but i didnt feel good about it him being a mate and all, and him needing all the cash he could get so we both agreed for him to list it on trademe and see what he got for it.. So if i brought it for 2k, would that have made it only worth 3K, i think not.

You know as well as i do its worth more then what i brought it for, and its had alot of work done to it since then. Rust work, wof work, flares, leafs, i actually cleaned it ( he never cleaned it and the years he owned it ) i look after my shit.

anyway, im wanting as much as i can get for it... i dont need to sell it, damn it can sit here for another year for all i care, i love this little truck.. ive had a ball in it, but if the right buyer comes along with the right money then i'll part ways with it.

Going to sell mine soon too. I have found that people will pay what ever it takes to win the bid. I was hoping to sell an Escudo a few years back for 2k and got $4700.00 ........go figure :!: .It's all about getting two bidders that want it. Go for as much as you can dude. I wont be listing mine for a few weeks as i have to wait for my new vehicle to arrive but good luck and get as much as you can, 6k is a fair price.

if i were buying your zuk off ya i would pay more than 6k.

going of meista's evaluation my terrano would only be worth 3k

considering it has a safari front axel etc in it? i think not.

but just ignore him, the only reason it didnt sell is because he was selling it, and when it was listed on trademe, withdrew it because he couldnt face what it was worth. not to mention its been rolled etc.....

Nice little truck. Hope you get a fair price for it.

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!
