wtd diff with offset diff head-southland/otago

hey all...

im after a rear diff with an offset diff head (ie: not in the centre) :wink:

would prefer with an open diff head,and non floating axles (normal type)..



ive also got a 4x4 hiace rear diff if anyone needs one..complete from drum-drum.

what size diff head, ratio, coil sprung, leaf sprung, SOA or SUA, drum or disc :D

doesnt matter with coil/leaf as it will be 4 linked and coilover anyway...

any ratio from 3.9 to 4.5 really, disc would be great but i do have some discs and calipers here to use anyway..

any size diff head...atleast the same size as a hilux diff head..

Sounds like you need a Prado diff, they're offset to the drivers side have an 8" head (same as Hilux) and have disks. Also you can use all the hilux ratios in them.

sounds good.. now i just need to find a cheap one without a lsd head in it..

wonder if i can use the hiace head in a prado diff??

then i wont need a head with it

Might pay to check if it's a landcruiser diff (9") or a landcruiser Prado diff (8")

I can't tell from the pic, And it's been a long time since i looked at a cruiser diff :oops:

Looks like a 9 inch diff.
Southland Ore member bob_or_jim had one but I thjnk it might have gone to the scrap metal dealer

next question i guess is:

do these diff heads for them cost heaps?

or does anyone wanna swap my diff for a head for that one?? :lol:

ive got a 4.1 ratio safari diffhead lol, but i dont think its what your after.

do these 9" diff heads have the same flange pattern as a hilux head?

the driveshafts i have are both hilux...
