Battery problem

Hey guys,

Im having issues with my battery's going flat nothing has been left on and still there going flat but its started since i stopped using the crappy 24v to 13v inverter for the stereo and run the pos an neg from one battery straight to the head unit. now because its a 24v set up does this mean im draining the one battery to much ??

yea mate, you cant draw off of one battery in a 24v set up.( unless you fit a even charger/charge equilizer) as you will cook both batteries, as one will end up being over chareged and one undercharged. if its just a stereo your need on 12v, i would just go buy a decent reducer

24 volt systems NEED to have the same size/capacity, age and condition batteries hooked together. If it was me, pay the money, start afresh, problem solved. With a good voltage reducer hooked up properly so the memory circuit stays powered up, it will work the way it is supposed to.
Because you have used one of the batteries independently and it has gone flat a number of times they are no longer a "matched pair".

Yea i no i should but changing truck tyres for a living doesn't pay as well as you would think haha but its on the wish list for sure !

to get them balanced ( as best as their going to be) hook them together in parallel(out of the truck, positive to positive,negative to negative) and hook them up to a good charger and charge them up..
