Saf's are prone to cracking body mounts if you do a body lift and you'll have to throw 500 bucks at getting it certified if its a road legal truck so personaly I'd go down the road of a suspension lift which will probably work out dearer if you need to stick longer shocks in it as well, if its only a 2" sus lift chances are you'll keep gettings wofs as normal with the need to certify the longer springs

do you know what a cheap set of lift springs are and do you need new shocks for a 50mm lift?

If you get lifted coils, IMO you might as well get shocks to suit. If you have factory units, you won't get the full benefit of running lifted coils.

get some standard front springs and shocks from an 80series. Then just get some spacers for the rears to suit. Your standard rears will work but not last long from constantly topping out. Have givin my lwb 50mm lift for total cost of $75. Isn't my prefered way but it works. Will do it properly when wife lets me

so if i got some standard 80 series springs and shocks for the front that would give me enough to get new shocks and springs for the back

Depends if its your daily driver, personally id save up and buy matching springs and shocks all round with spring rates designed for your vehicle.
You will end up doing it in the long run anyway. Aftermarket options for safaris are great and the ride on most of them is such an improvement on factory. I went tough dog on my gu and it hurt at the time, but It will last and driving it everyday Im glad I did its so plush. I put 80 series fronts in my prado bush truck, It was hard to get it level as they compensate for the 80s offset fuel tank and spare wheel so had to shuffle them around a bit works ok. On a plus, 80 series factory front shocks from waikato toyota only cost me 80 bucks each new.
Id get a set of lift springs designed for your truck and bar/winch if you have one first, then save for new shocks to match. See how it drives, and castor correction bushes as well if needed.
