gen 1 and gen 2 rear axle questions

Right so here i go: got a gen 1 swb 2.5tdi coil rear end with drum brakes and a 8inch open diff
I want to fit my 9.5inch lsd diff and rear disk brakes from a gen2 lwb pajero only problem is all this wont fit into my gen 1 axle housing as i found out so my question is will a lwb gen 2 axle housing bolt into my gen 1? also are they a bit wider as my gen 2 axles are slightly longer 10mm to be exact.

ok so i have found out that i can bolt in a lwb axle housing only thing is my wheels will come out approx 2inch both sides due to the longer axle housing i have since found out that my diff i got from pick a part is not an lsd its a auto locker so im wraped as and dont need to run air a compressor pipes and wires etc was told there a srong unit as fitted to the toyota dyna 5tonne truck.

sounds like you got a good score there mate, whats it going to look like astheticaly with the rear wheels sticking further out than the front?

I know im quite chuffed haha. Not to sure what its going to look like prob a bit strange but im planning on getting a sas done to the front with hilux or jeep cheroke front axle so need to have a messure up to see how they would fit at worse case i could get some spacers made up for the front to bring them out for now just take them off come wof time

Are you sure about that autolocker thing? As far as I am aware there is no auto lockers available for rear Pajero's.
